Keeping all of your electronic devices charged while traveling can be a challenge—especially while overseas where every region uses a different type of outlet. So here are some of the best international power adapters we’ve found.

Our go-to device is the World Travel Adapter from Targarian. We found it in a store at the Amsterdam Schiphol International Airport in The Netherlands a few years back and it finally freed us from carrying nearly a dozen adapters and a currency converter every time we hit the road.

It sells online for between $19-$25 USD (€18-€24.85) on the company’s website or other e-commerce and physical locations. After we started using it, Targarian upgraded the device to come with a detachable adapter that includes 2 USB ports. So you can charge two iPhones at once, for example. Or you can use the traditional two-pronged power input.

One word of caution: while it’s great for phones, tablets, laptops, e-readers, shavers, electronic toothbrushes as the like, I have found much higher-voltage devices, such as hairdryers over 220V, when not used in combination with a voltage converter may blow the World Travel Adapter’s fuse, rendering it inoperable for the rest of your trip.

The company does claim on its website this device will work with hairdryers, but my experience has occasionally been different, even with a dual voltage blower that allows you to adjust the voltage manually.
