Prepare to sweat while you soar.
Gyms are coming to airplanes and airports, giving travelers a fitness oasis during some of the most stressful parts of travel.
Transpose, a project of aircraft maker Airbus, says it is designing the “future of flight.”
And apparently flyers of the future want to work out.
“We believe that this project will enable entirely new categories of passenger experiences, making your time spent in the sky more interesting, personalized, and enjoyable,” Transpose’s Project Executive Jason Chua said in a blog post.

Gyms a Part of ‘Future of Flight’
Transpose is modeling new experiences in flight, including a fitness center.
“A gym could fill a module with exercise bikes, and give folks the opportunity to stay active,” a post on its website states.
Transpose recently displayed an airplane gym mockup at the Mineta San Jose International Airport (SJC), CNBC says.
It included standard fitness equipment, such as bikes, yoga mats, and resistance stations.
