WASHINGTON (TVR) – Global Entry, the fast-track program that allows pre-screened passengers arriving into the United States to breeze through immigrations and customs, bypassing long lines, is now easier than ever to obtain.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection, which administers the Global Entry program, has launched ‘Enrollment on Arrival‘ at five international airports.

The initiative previously was only available to those who scheduled an appointment at a Global Entry enrollment facility to complete an interview, the final step in the application process, which also includes an online form, background check, and payment.
“With Enrollment on Arrival, we are adapting and innovating our process to meet the program’s demands by providing flexibility and additional options for travelers who need to complete their Global Entry interview,” Acting CBP Commissioner Kevin McAleenan explained in a release.

At select airports, travelers arriving from another country can clear customs and immigration while at the same time completing the Global Entry interview process, CBP said.
Travelers must have already been conditionally approved after completing the online application form.
The Enrollment on Arrival program is now available at these airports:
“Global Entry continues to be one of CBP’s most successful and popular programs with application volume steadily increasing over the past several years,” McAleenan said.

There are now more than four million members of Global Entry, CBP says.
The fee is $100 for five years and TSA Pre-Check for domestic flights comes included.
Some credit card companies will reimburse cardholders for the fee.
Travelers enrolled in Global Entry bypass often-long customs and immigration lines and complete a brief, automated survey using special kiosks that utilize facial recognition, fingerprint, and passport-scanning software.
Global Entry is available at 53 U.S. airports and 15 pre-clearance facilities abroad.

U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and U.S. lawful permanent residents are eligible for the program.
Since its launch five years ago, Global Entry has also been made available to citizens of several other countries, including Argentina, Colombia, Germany, India, Mexico, the Netherlands, Panama, South Korea, Singapore, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.
Canadian citizens and residents already enrolled in the NEXUS program may also use the Global Entry.
